When You Receive a Bad Report

Josh 1:9 – Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee

whithersoever thou goest.

1. Be established in the Truth – John 17:17 – Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
2. Don’t be soon shaken in your mind – 2 Thes 2:2 – That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3. Trust God to give you the victory – 1 Chr 29:11-13 – Thine, O LORD is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power- and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.
4. Confess the promises of God – 2 Cor 1:20 – For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
5. Remember that the bad report did not come from God – Josh 1:8-9 – This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
6. Cast your care on the Lord – 1 Pet 5:7 – Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Prayer Focus: Lord, that the victory is already mine through Christ Jesus.

Verse of the Day: John 8:32 – And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Living the Word Today: The word of man does not change the Word of God. Believe the Word of God. Victory is already yours!
