Greenville Community Christian Church (GCCC) was established in 1982 and has been dedicated to spreading the message of Christ globally. Our mission is to uplift and bring deliverance to our local community and beyond. Pastor James D. Corbett effectively bridges biblical principles with real-life scenarios, ensuring that his teachings are both relevant and easily understood.
The church started modestly in March 1982, when Pastor Corbett and the late Pastor Delores began holding services in their home for three families. While Pastor Corbett preached to the adults, Pastor Delores took care of the children. Their first outreach effort was the “Door of Faith” radio broadcast. The congregation quickly grew, prompting a move to 1203 W. 14th Street within 18 months, where the GCCC choir was formed and the Community Christian Church Bookstore was opened.
As the congregation expanded, GCCC moved to Highway 11 South in December 1985. The growth continued, leading to the introduction of two Sunday morning services within five years. In April 1990, the church moved to its current location at 1104 N. Memorial Drive in Greenville, NC. GCCC has since developed multiple digital outreach programs, including television and radio broadcasts, international online ministries, and a monthly devotional publication, continually spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ worldwide.
