Repent – Submit to God’s Will

1Pet 4:17 – “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?”

Repentance is a form of change. Make up your mind, “I’m not going to act the way that I used to. I’m going to treat people right. I’m going to make the changes I need to make because I want to do the right thing.”

If you have sin in your life, change. Quit making excuses. Quit blaming everybody else, and make the changes that need to be made. If your attitude is rotten, and you don’t know how to treat people, you need to lie on your face before God and say, “Lord I need to change.”

Make up your mind and say, “I’m sorry, Lord. I need to change.” If you are hooked on the wrong stuff, change. Realize your wrongs, admit it, and quit it! Do what is right, right now. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Cor 5:17)

Prayer Focus: I’m sorry, Lord. I repent of my sins and purpose to live for you.
