If My People Pray – Part 1

September 2

2 Chron 7:14 – If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

We are the people of God

1 Peter 2:10 – Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

We are called by the name of the Lord

2 Tim 2:19 – Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Acts 11:26 – …And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

We must humble ourselves – prayer is an act of humility

Matt 23:12 – And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased, and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

We Ought to Always Pray

1 Tim 2:8 – I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

Prayer Focus: Father, heal our land. Deliver us O God.

Verse of the Day: Ezek 22:30 – And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

Living The Word Today: Pray for the healing of our land.

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus!

Happy 39th anniversary Greenville Community Christian Church. Our anniversary theme is “Be Still and Know,” from Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” Join us in rejoicing and celebrating what the Lord has done over the years to bring us to this point. All praise, honor, and glory belong to God.

Ps 46 is a message to the Saints. The Lord is comforting and strengthening us through this beautiful psalm. We are reminded that Lord is our strength, and we are to trust in Him. He is God. Therefore, we should not fret or be anxious. Trust in God. He is our place of refuge.
