Seek God With All Your Heart

Joel 2:12-13 – Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

As believers, we have to continue to look unto Jesus as the author and finisher of our faith. We encourage sinners to give up their sinful ways and turn to the Lord. But we as believers also need to serve God with all of our heart. Not just part of us, but all of our heart. We need to diligently seek after Him.

We should seek the Lord with all of our heart. He tells us in His Word that He shall then be found of us. When you search for Him with your whole heart, then you shall find Him. When we want to see Him move in our situation and circumstances and we put our whole heart into it, we will hear the answers from God.

We have to earnestly seek God and diligently pursue after Him. We have to continually stay attached to Him and in fellowship with Him. And as we do, we will see God move in our situations and in our circumstances. Not only are we seeking after God, but God is seeking after us. Rev 3:20 says, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”
