Wait on the Lord September 8 Ps 27:13 -14 - I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. Wait on the Lord: 1. to continue as one is in expectation of; 2. to perform the duties of an attendant or servant. "Waiting on God is not laziness. Waiting on God is not going to sleep. Waiting on God is not the abandonment of effort. Waiting on God means, first, activity under command; second, readiness for any new command that may come; third, the ability to do nothing until the command is given." - G. Campbell Morgan Ps 37:34 - Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. Ps 130:5-6 - I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. Prayer Focus: Father, I will serve you faithfully in expectation. Verse of the Day: Isa 40:31 - But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Living the Word Today: Be faithful in the service of the Lord as you wait patiently for His manifested blessings. Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus! A Word In Season September 7th Perfect Peace September 7 Isa 26:3 - Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. 4 Trust ye in the Lord forever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: We can have God's peace in the midst of the raging storms of life. We can have the peace of God while the world's stress levels are constantly rising. To have God's peace we must look beyond the world’s distractions and focus on Jesus. God will keep us in perfect peace as we keep our minds on Him. "Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is." (Jer 17:7) 1. God’s Word Gives Us Peace John 16:33 - These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. 2. Jesus is Our Peace Eph 2:14 - For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 3. The Peace of God is Beyond Human Understanding Phil 4:7 - And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Prayer Focus: Father, help me to remember to pray in all situations so that my heart and mind will be guided by your peace. Verse of the Day: Col 3:15 - And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Living the Word Today: Look unto Jesus as the Author and Finisher of your faith. Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus! Happy 39th anniversary Greenville Community Christian Church. Rest in the Lord September 6 Ps 37:7 - Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Rest: mental or spiritual calm; tranquility. Rest denotes trust. We can rest when we really believe that the Lord with cause all things to work together for good on our behalf. Rest says we have ceased from our own efforts and now trust in God's way.   Rest Confidently in the Lord Heb 10:35-36 - Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. Rest in your labors rather than from your labors Gal 6:9 - And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Enter into God's rest by faith Heb 4:3;11 - For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world....11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. Prayer Focus: Father, thank you for the gift of rest. Help me to trust your will and surrender mine to you where I can find comfort and safety.   Verse of the Day: Isa 40:31 - But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Worship in the Beauty of Holiness September 4 1 Chron 16:29 - Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. WORSHIP- Reverent devotion and allegiance pledged to God; the rituals or ceremonies by which this reverence is expressed. The English word worship comes from the Old English word worth-ship, a word which denotes the worthiness of the one receiving the special honor or devotion.(Nelson's Illustrated Bible Dictionary) Worship the Lord in the presence of others Ps 108:3 - I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations. Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness Isa 6:3 - And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. Worship the Lord in spirit and in truth John 4:24 - God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Ps 95:6-8 - O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.   The Glory of the Lord Filled the House September 5 2 Chron 5:13-14 - It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God. Worship invites the presence of the Lord. God's presence was manifested as the musicians and singers began to praise and give God thanks. They were unified in their worship. The cloud was a manifestation of the glory of God. God's presence (glory) filled the house. We are a royal priesthood. "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light" (1 Peter 2:9). We are supposed to worship the Lord. We should lead the way in worship. God's glory still fills the house. We are the temple or house of God. As we praise and worship the Lord, the king of glory comes in and fills us to the point of overflow. He fills us with His glory individually and corporately. Prayer Focus: Heavenly Father, let your glory fill this temple. Verse of the Day: 2 Chron 7:2 - And the priests could not enter into the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord's house. Living the Word Today: Fervently worship the Lord with your whole being. Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus! A House of Prayer Isa 56:7 - Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called a house of prayer for all people. In the Old Testament, we see the “house” of the Lord as a place of prayer. In this New Testament era we live in we see the house of God as a “people” of prayer. We, the church, are the house of God. God says His house shall be called a house of prayer. Therefore, the church must be a house of prayer. We are the living stones that God is using to build His house today. We must pray to live the Christian life effectively. Building the kingdom mandates prayer. We must pray to survive. We must pray to thrive. God's people should join in corporate and individual prayer. In Acts 3:1 "...Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer..." Notice the church had a set time of prayer. Believers should be a part of the prayer ministry of their church. The miraculous is born out of united prayer Prayer strengthens the church just as it does individuals. A praying church is a strong church. A praying church is a productive soul-winning church. A praying church is a spiritual church. A praying church is a soul-winning church. Prayer Focus: Lord let our church be a house of prayer: Verse of the Day: Matt 18:19 - Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. Living the Word Today: Commit to the prayer ministry of your church. Help your church be a house of prayer.

Seek God With All Your Heart Joel 2:12-13 - Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. As believers, we have to continue to look unto Jesus as the author and finisher of our faith. We encourage sinners to give up their sinful ways and turn to the Lord. But we as believers also need to serve God with all of our heart. Not just part of us, but all of our heart. We need to diligently seek after Him. We should seek the Lord with all of our heart. He tells us in His Word that He shall then be found of us. When you search for Him with your whole heart, then you shall find Him. When we want to see Him move in our situation and circumstances and we put our whole heart into it, we will hear the answers from God. We have to earnestly seek God and diligently pursue after Him. We have to continually stay attached to Him and in fellowship with Him. And as we do, we will see God move in our situations and in our circumstances. Not only are we seeking after God, but God is seeking after us. Rev 3:20 says, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Prayer Focus: Father, I purpose to seek you with all my heart. Lord, I want you to be first and foremost in my life. Verse of the Day: Duet 4:29 - But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. Living the Word Today: tay connected to God. Seek Him with all of your heart.

God's Unconditional Love Rom 5:8 - But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. It is so awesome to think that God loved us even when we were messed up! He still loves us when we mess up, but he loved us when we were messed up! God reached out to us and gave us His love. As believers, we need to get beyond condemnation and guilt of the past. The scripture says in 1John 3:20, “For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.” We need to accept the fact that God loves us. As we walk in the newness of life, we walk in the fullness of God’s love, knowing that we will make it because of His love! Because of His love we are strengthened. Because of His love we have peace. Because of His love God hears and answers our prayers. We have already been accepted in the beloved. So if God loves us, we ought to love ourselves! We really can’t love others until we love ourselves. And we can’t love God until we love others. We have to accept the fact that God has made us in His likeness and in His image. Part of that likeness and image is to be a person of love. “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” (1John 4:8) Prayer Focus: Lord, may I be established in the revelation that you love me and that you love me unconditionally Verse of the Day: Eccl 3:1 - John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Living the Word Today: God loves you! He loves you without condition and without reservation. Accept the fact that God loves you!

Expect Your Due Season Gal 6:9 - And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Don’t let the pressures of life wear you down. You shall reap in due season if you faint not! Don’t hate or avoid prosperity, or think there is something evil about it. God wants to prosper His people. Isa 48:17 says, “Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go”. Lord, send prosperity now! Don’t get caught up in jealousy or envy when you see others walking in the blessing. We shall reap in our own due season. Maybe that is their season. Don’t let that deter you. Wait until your change comes. Believe God for your season and keep your heart right. Keep speaking life and watch how God will cause your due season to come! “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.” (2Cor 2:14) Prayer Focus: Thank you, Lord for my due season. I boldly confess today that this is my season. Verse of the Day: Eccl 3:1 - To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Living the Word Today: Expect your due season. Expect God to do great and mighty things on your behalf. This is your season!  Boldly confess; This is my season!

When You Receive a Bad Report Josh 1:9 - Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Be established in the Truth - John 17:17 - Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. Don't be soon shaken in your mind - 2 Thes 2:2 - That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Trust God to give you the victory - 1 Chr 29:11-13 - Thine, O LORD is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power- and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name. Confess the promises of God - 2 Cor 1:20 - For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. Remember that the bad report did not come from God - Josh 1:8-9 - This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Benefits of Keeping Your Heart Right 1 Sam 16:7 - But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. 1. Right relationship with God - 2 Chr 16:9 - For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars. 2. Positions you to be used by God - 1 Chr 28:9 - And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off forever. 3. A Cheerful Giver - 1 Chr 29:9 - Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy. 4. Causes you to act right - Ps 101:2 - I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. 5. Positions you to petition God in the time of trouble - Isa 38:2-5 - Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying, Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years. Prayer Focus: Lord, I purpose to have the right heart attitude. Verse of the Day: 1 Kings 8:61 - Let your heart, therefore, be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day. Living the Word Today: Keep your heart right before the Lord!

God has begun a good work in you. The Lord is the one that is keeping you. He is able to do more than we can ask or think. “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” (Eph 3:20) “For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe"(1Thes 2:13). Why are you carrying the stress around? Keep your trust in the Living God! Don’t give up! Wait until your change comes! The Lord is the One keeping you! “Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy” (Jude 1:24). Verse of the Day: Phil 2:13 - For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Living the Word Today: You are more than a conqueror!

Winning in Spiritual Warfare Eph 6:12 - "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Your fight is not with people. Your fight is against powers and spiritual wickedness in high places. Every attack is against your faith in God. You have to believe the report of the Lord. God believes in you, He does not allow you to be tested in what you have not been prepared to handle. As believers, we need to walk by faith and not by sight! Fight the good fight of faith (1Tim 6:12). Winning requires a warrior mentality (2Tim 2:4). We need to remember that the fight is temporary (2Cor 4:17) and that blessing comes with enduring (Jam 1:2-3). Keys to Winning: - Keep Praying - Face the test - Rejoice! - Encourage yourself - Keep confessing the promise - Fight through - Shout the victory Prayer Focus: Father, I thank you for preparing me for battle and for not allowing me to be tested beyond what I can handle. Verse of the Day: 2Tim 4:8 - "Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." Living the Word Today: Keep your eyes on the prize. You win!

Speak Your Faith Prov 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. The Bible establishes the steps of believing first, then speaking into existence the thing that we believe. Even Salvation; we believe first then we confess or speak. Notice Romans 10:8-10, "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." The Word is near you, it is in your heart, and in your mouth! You must, "confess with the mouth!" Notice, it is not enough to just think with our minds. We MUST "confess WITH THE MOUTH!" God followed this method, He spoke, and it came to pass! We speak His Word, and it comes to pass! 2Cor 4:13 makes this clear as well, "We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak." We believe, therefore we speak! Once you believe, you must speak your faith to receive God’s blessings. Prayer Focus: Father, I confess those things that be not as though they were, knowing it will come to pass. Verse of the Day: Mark 11:22-24 - "And Jesus answering saith unto them, 'Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Living the Word Today: Believe God’s Word. Speak your faith. Watch “it” come to pass.

The Word of God Effectively Works in You 1Thess 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. Most Born Again believers know that they should read the Bible but some do not know to abide in the Word and allow the Word to abide in them. Abiding in the Word and allowing the Word to abide in us means spending time reading the Word and confessing it daily. It also means to hear anointed preaching and teaching on a regular basis. John 8:31-32 says, “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Abiding in the Word makes us disciples and we will know the truth and that truth will make us free.” Abiding in the Word also gives us victory over our enemy, Satan. 1John 2:14 says “I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.” Prayer Focus: Father, thank you for your Word that is more powerful than a two-edged sword. Verse of the Day: 1Pet 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever. Living the Word Today: Continuously abide in the Word of God and you will know the truth. The truth will set up free.

Get Out of the Boat James 2:20 - "But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?" Getting out of the boat means taking bold steps of faith. If we look at Hebrews 11, we see a compilation of those who dared to have faith in God. Because Abel had faith, he offered God a better sacrifice than Cain. God was pleased with him and his gift, and even though Abel is now dead, his faith still speaks for him. Enoch had faith and did not die. He pleased God, and God took him up to heaven. Because Noah had faith, he was warned about something that had not yet happened. He obeyed and built a boat that saved him and his family. In this way, the people of the world were judged, and Noah was given the blessings that come to everyone who pleases God. Abraham had faith and obeyed God. He was told to go to the land that God had said would be his, and he left for a country he had never seen. Because Abraham had faith, he lived as a stranger in the Promised Land. He lived there in a tent, and so did Isaac and Jacob, who were later given the same promise. Abraham did this because he was waiting for the eternal city that God had planned and built. Even when Sarah was too old to have children, she had faith that God would do what he had promised, and she had a son. Her husband Abraham was almost dead, but he became the ancestor of many people. In fact, there are as many of them as there are stars in the sky or grains of sand along the beach. But without faith, no one can please God. We must believe that God is real and that he rewards everyone who searches for him. Prayer Focus: Father, I am getting out of the boat and placing my faith in you. Verse of the Day: Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Living the Word Today: Take that bold step of faith and allow God to work in your life.

How to Embrace Change Isa 42:10 - "Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof." 1. Renew Your Mind The Bible says don't be conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. 2. Forget the Former Things. Let go of the past Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before. 3. Expect New Results 1John 5:14 - "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us" Ephesians 3:20 - "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us." 4. Be a Change Agent for Christ Make a difference in the world you live in. Prayer Focus: Help me Lord to go from glory to glory. Lord, I thank you that in my life you are glorified. Verse of the Day: Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Living the Word Today: Learn to change because you heard the voice of God, not because circumstances forced you to.

Repent - Submit to God's Will 1Pet 4:17 - "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" Repentance is a form of change. Make up your mind, “I’m not going to act the way that I used to. I'm going to treat people right. I'm going to make the changes I need to make because I want to do the right thing.” If you have sin in your life, change. Quit making excuses. Quit blaming everybody else, and make the changes that need to be made. If your attitude is rotten, and you don't know how to treat people, you need to lie on your face before God and say, “Lord I need to change.” Make up your mind and say, “I'm sorry, Lord. I need to change.” If you are hooked on the wrong stuff, change. Realize your wrongs, admit it, and quit it! Do what is right, right now. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Cor 5:17) Prayer Focus: I'm sorry, Lord. I repent of my sins and purpose to live for you. Verse of the Day: Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. Living the Word Today: Treat people with love, care, and dignity today. You do not know what tomorrow might bring.

Three Reactions to Change Romans 6:4 - "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so, we also should walk in newness of life." 1. Resistance to Change People will fight change. They will say, “I don't understand why we have to change!” You know it's amazing, I read in an article that people fought the automobile! They were upset because it went 15mph! People asked who will want to drive at such breakneck speed. Now we all have automobiles. 2. Tolerate Change Some people will change when they come under conviction or when they hear the Word of God. In Acts 9, God talked to Peter and prepared him to go to Cornelius’ house. Thank God the Lord changed him! Peter said a voice from heaven changed him. When God got his attention, he changed in order to fulfill his purpose and calling. As a result, Cornelius’ family was saved. 3. Embrace Change When God wants to do something on the earth, He can't do it through people who won't change. With time, you have to change the way you do some things. If we keep trying to hold on to what used to be, we won't go on with what is today. Prayer Focus: Help me Lord to accept the changes that you bring about in my life, in my home, in my Church, on my job, even in the world around me. I don't want to be left behind. Verse of the Day: Romans 7:6 - “… we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.” Living the Word Today: Have a newness in your walk and spirit.

BE A CHANGE AGENT FOR CHRIST - AUGUST 18, 2021 Acts 17:6 - "And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also." God is looking for people that will stand up and make a difference. Change ought to bring a fresh anointing in your life. Don't be the one that follows the pattern that's already there. Bring something new to the table. Be a valuable person, a valuable spouse, a valuable worker, a valuable friend, and a valuable Church member. Born Again believers are changed into the image of Almighty God, and change should bring about improvements. Bring something that is new and fresh and enlightening to the table. Be a giver; don't be just a taker. You don't want to stay the same forever. Instead of packing up and giving up, create a better tomorrow. Keep striving. Keep growing. Be the best you can possibly be. Ask God for fresh oil in your life today. Prayer Focus: Lord, give me fresh oil today. Help me be great at what I ought to be, and get out of that state of complacency. Verse of the Day: Psalm 92:10: "But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of a unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil." Living the Word Today: Make yourself valuable in your family, community, at work, and at Church.
